Green color implies the nature of Namyangju City, Blue color suggests the sky with its dreams and ambition, and the Orange color the citizens of The City logo urges the present and the future generations to establish Namyangju City as a future- oriented and environment-friendly city.

The mascot of the City is the personified woodpecker, and the names are "Malgeumee" and "Pureumee".
