Moran Art Museum

Moran Art Museum

Moran Art Museum is a cultural tourist site located in Wolsan-Ri, Hwado-Eup, Namyangju City.
It has permanent exhibits of the works famous Korean sculptors at its 33,609 square yards outdoor sculpture park.

There are many two-dimensional and some three-dimensional pieces in its 632 square yards indoor exhibition hall.

There are more than 350 number of exhibited pieces on display, and the museum provides visitors with a comfortable and enlightening atmosphere made up of the exhibits, an outdoor stage and resting space.

At the regular concert, a piece of work currently being exhibited at the gallery is chosen and an instantly-created melody of about five minutes in length is improvised by the musicians. Depending on the audience reaction, musical selections and the accompanying art are selected for further work and the duration and weight of the creative performances are gradually extended.

Moreover, the office of liberal arts research at the museum has domestic and foreign collections of art-related books and slides, playing an important role in the study of art history.

Bus
Take Bus #30, #330-1, #9205 or #765 at Cheongnyangni Station. Get off at Maseok Terminal after about an-hour ride. Walk for 15 Minutes.

Pass Manguri Ridge from the Direction of Cheongnyangni Station and Go Straight and turn Left at the Donong 3-way junction to the Direction of Maseok. Pass Namyangju City Hall, Machi Tunnel and Maseok. Go About 1 km and See Right (It Takes About 50 Minutes from Cheongnyangni Station)

Moran Art Museum opens from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (5:00 p.m. during Winter) except every Monday. Entrance fees are ₩3,000 for adults, ₩2,000 for juveniles, and ₩1,500 for children Information line for Moran Art Museum : 031-594-8001∼3
